Large facade scaffolding on one of Swansea's busiest and most prominent streets.
The Grand Hotel on Swansea's High Street is one of the city's most recognisable buildings. When it required facade works, Trust Scaffolding was brought in to provide comprehensive scaffolding access to the exterior of this large, prominent building.
Working on one of Swansea's busiest streets required meticulous planning around pedestrian traffic, vehicle access, and public safety. The scaffold design had to provide full access to the building facade while maintaining safe pedestrian passage along the busy pavement.
Debris netting, brick guards, and pedestrian protection were installed throughout the hire period to protect the public below. The scaffolding was erected and dismantled outside peak hours where possible to minimise disruption to surrounding businesses and the visiting public.
The Grand Hotel project was a showcase for our commercial scaffolding capabilities in high-traffic urban locations — a project type that requires not just technical scaffolding competence but careful planning, communication with stakeholders, and strict adherence to public safety requirements.
