Working on an occupied high-street retail premises required careful consideration of public safety, pedestrian access, and the client's need to continue trading throughout the works.

The scaffolding design incorporated a safe pedestrian walkway beneath the scaffold to maintain customer access to the store entrance. Fans and debris netting were installed to protect the public from falling materials, and all work was carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Highways Authority for scaffolding on public footpaths.
