Our Story — From Two-Man Team to 22+ Scaffolders
Trust Scaffolding is a South Wales scaffolding company founded in 2016, grown from a two-person startup to a team of 22+ CISRS-qualified scaffolders operating from a 10,000 sq ft depot in Neath.
Trust Scaffolding was founded in May 2016 by Greg Roberts and Roy Jones. The idea was born over a conversation in a local bar — Greg, who had spent years working at Metal Box and in the scaffolding industry, saw an opportunity to build a scaffolding company that genuinely put safety and customer service first. Roy shared that vision, and together they launched what would become one of South Wales' fastest-growing scaffolding businesses.
In those early days, it was just Greg and Roy — two scaffolders, a van, and a determination to do things properly. They took on every job themselves, from small domestic projects to their first commercial contracts, building a reputation through word of mouth and an unwavering commitment to quality workmanship.
Almost a decade later, Trust Scaffolding has grown into a team of 22+ CISRS-qualified scaffolders operating from a 10,000 sq ft depot in Neath. We run a fleet of 4+ HGVs — including our flagship 21-tonne vehicle affectionately known as "Captain Tom" — and serve clients across the whole of South and West Wales. From Cardiff city centre to the Carmarthenshire countryside, our scaffolding is a familiar sight on projects of every scale.

Company Founded
Greg Roberts and Roy Jones establish Trust Scaffolding in Neath, South Wales. Starting as a two-man operation, they take on domestic and small commercial scaffolding projects across the local area.
First Major Contract & SMAS Accreditation
Secure first major commercial contract and achieve SMAS accreditation — a standard they have maintained for 7+ consecutive years, demonstrating consistent health and safety excellence.
Team Expansion & Fleet Growth
The team grows to double digits as demand for reliable scaffolding hire increases. Investment in HGV fleet begins, expanding reach across Cardiff, Swansea, and the wider South Wales region.
T-Deck Safety Platform Launch
Trust Scaffolding becomes an approved supplier and installer of T-Deck safety decking systems — a move that transforms fall protection capabilities for clients across Wales.
FASET Accreditation — First in Wales
Achieve FASET accreditation for platform decking, becoming the first scaffolding company in Wales to hold this prestigious safety certification. Membership of The Scaffolding Association as Audited Contractors confirmed.
22+ Scaffolders & New Depot
Team grows to 22+ CISRS-qualified scaffolders. Move to the current 10,000 sq ft depot in Neath. Fleet expands to 4+ HGVs including the 21-tonne "Captain Tom".
Our Team
The Trust Scaffolding team comprises 22+ CISRS card-holding scaffolders, every one qualified in Level 3 Emergency First Aid, led by co-founders Greg Roberts and Roy Jones.
At the heart of Trust Scaffolding is a team of 22+ CISRS-qualified scaffolders, every one of whom holds a valid CISRS card and Level 3 Emergency First Aid certification. We believe that a well-trained workforce is the foundation of safe, efficient scaffolding — and we invest heavily in training, development, and apprenticeships.
Our commitment to nurturing talent has been recognised at the highest level. Kian Godsall, one of our apprentices, was awarded Apprentice of the Year — a testament to the quality of training and mentorship within the Trust Scaffolding team. We are proud to develop the next generation of scaffolders, giving young people from our local communities the skills and qualifications to build rewarding careers.

With decades of experience in the scaffolding industry, Greg founded Trust Scaffolding with a vision to deliver uncompromising safety and service. He oversees all operations and maintains the company's reputation for excellence across South Wales.
Our Depot & Fleet
Trust Scaffolding operates from a 10,000 sq ft depot in Neath with a fleet of 4+ HGVs, strategically located for M4 access to serve the whole of South and West Wales.
We operate from a 10,000 sq ft depot in Neath, Glynneath — strategically located with easy access to the M4 motorway, allowing us to reach Cardiff in under an hour and cover the entire South Wales corridor efficiently.
Our depot houses thousands of tonnes of scaffolding materials, T-Deck safety platforms, edge protection systems, and safety netting — everything we need to mobilise quickly for projects of any scale. We maintain strict stock management to ensure equipment is inspected, tagged, and ready for deployment.
The fleet includes 4+ HGVs, headlined by our 21-tonne vehicle "Captain Tom", which allows us to deliver large quantities of scaffolding to site in a single trip. This means less disruption for our clients, fewer vehicle movements on site, and faster project turnaround.
Our logistical capability means we can often mobilise within 24-48 hours for urgent projects, while running multiple sites simultaneously across South and West Wales. Whether it's a single domestic scaffold in Swansea or a multi-phase industrial installation in Cardiff, we have the resources to deliver.

Trust Scaffolding holds FASET, SMAS, CHAS, Constructionline Gold, and Scaffolding Association accreditations — every scaffolder is CISRS-qualified with Level 3 Emergency First Aid certification.
Safety is the foundation of everything we do. Trust Scaffolding holds FASET (first in Wales for platform decking), SMAS (7+ consecutive years), CHAS, Constructionline Gold, and Scaffolding Association membership as Audited Contractors. Every scaffolder on our team is CISRS-qualified with Level 3 Emergency First Aid certification.

Trust Scaffolding is proud to be deeply rooted in our local community. We believe in giving back to the areas that have supported our growth, and we actively sponsor and support local organisations and events throughout Neath, the Valleys, and the wider South Wales region.
We are proud sponsors of Glynneath RFC, supporting grassroots rugby in the Neath Valley. We also get involved in local charity events, including the annual Boxing Day Race, which raises funds for community causes. As a business that has grown from the local community, we are committed to creating employment opportunities and apprenticeships for young people in the area.
